We celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa with a digital experience that showcases some of the most significant pieces from its collection. This project, in collaboration with Koalition, was awarded at the AWWWARDS on July 8, 2021. Spain recognizes the need for a comprehensive overhaul of its website www.bancopichincha.es with the assistance of a digital partner to guide it through the entire process.

Digitalization of the Museum

The microsite ‘2011-21: Sharing a Legacy’ takes on special significance at a time when physical visits to museums have significantly declined due to the pandemic, while online consumption of cultural content has exponentially increased. It contributes to the digitalization of the Museum.

Positioning and Community

The project aims to strengthen the brand’s positioning both locally and internationally, maximize visits, and enhance interaction with the different audiences of the Balenciaga Museum.

Furthermore, one of the Museum’s main objectives, dissemination, and research, gains particular importance. Through the site, the Museum’s research work is showcased, reinforcing the community surrounding Cristóbal Balenciaga.

An Afternoon at the Museum

In a gallery-like manner, the digital experience presents unique pieces and relevant content related to the Master’s process, allowing users to enjoy a vertical journey, contrasting with the horizontal arrangement of each piece, giving them the feeling of being inside the Museum.

Moreover, the results obtained in just the month of June demonstrate how visits have been maximized at both the national and international levels, and how interaction has been generated with various audiences.
